# Enable an installed translation in the organization library

PUT https://api.bibleit.app/v1/organizations/{organization_id}/translations/{slug}

**Required scopes:** `translation.enable`.

Requires an edition in the reviewed catalogue and already installed locally. This endpoint never downloads or installs text. Missing catalogue editions return 404; uninstalled editions return 409 translation_not_installed. Uses current scope/contact/organization checks and serialized organization quota enforcement. An existing membership is a no-op, even at capacity. Does not automatically change existing Live selections.

**Response headers:**

- `Location` (201, 200): Canonical organization library membership URL.

## Authentication

- `Authorization` header (bearer token, required) — Organization-owned service token. Issue the initial token in organization credential settings. Scopes are documented per operation via x-required-scopes; they are not OAuth scopes.
